Shortlists, not directories.

For each real job — editing a video, transcribing a call, sending an invoice — we'll test the tools and tell you which few are worth your time, and when to skip them.

No shortlists are published yet. Rather than fill this page with scraped listings, we're showing how they'll work while the first ones are researched.

The method

How a shortlist gets made.

  1. 01

    Start from a real job

Every shortlist answers one specific task, not a broad category like “AI tools”.

  2. 02

    Test with real work

Tools are used for the job itself, not judged from their landing pages.

  3. 03

    Say who it's for

Each pick gets a plain “pick this if” and “skip it if” — including when the free option is enough.

  4. 04

    Date every price

Prices link to their source with the date we checked. Shortlists are re-checked over time.
